Dr.Xiaoxu Huang from Risø DTU will visit CAMP-Nano and give a report
Dr. Xiaoxu Huang, from Materials Research Division, Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Technical University of Denmark, will visit The Center for Advancing Materials Performance from the Nanoscale (CAMP-Nano) on August 27th. He will give a wonderful lecture on his recent research work.

3D orientation mapping of nanocrystalline materials in the TEM
Abstract:
Recent trend in developing microstructural characterization techniques is moving from 2D to 3D. This presentation demonstrates their success in the development of a 3D orientation mapping technique based on the TEM. The principles of data collection, analysis and 3D reconstruction are briefly described. This technique has a spatial resolution down to 1 nm and is non-destructive in nature, and is therefore dedicated to characterization of nanocrystalline materials. Example applications are shown, and limitations and future potentials are discussed.
